How to Get a WorkCover Claim Number
If you are injured at work, follow these steps to secure your WorkCover claim and access fully-funded specialist care:
- Report the Injury: Inform your employer as soon as possible and ensure the incident is logged in your workplace injury register.
- See a Doctor: Visit a GP or our clinic to get a WorkCover Certificate of Capacity. This is the official medical document required to start your claim.
- Lodge Your Claim: Submit your claim directly to WorkCover Queensland (or your relevant state insurer) online or by calling 1300 362 128. You will need your tax file number, bank details, and your Certificate of Capacity.
- Receive Your Claim Number: Once lodged, you will receive a claim number. Bring this number, along with your Certificate of Capacity and any X-rays or scans, to your appointment with us. We will bill WorkCover directly, meaning zero out-of-pocket costs for you.
